The State Flag of Minnesota

The State Flag of MinnesotaThe United States includes fifty (different) states, one of which is called Minnesota and is located in the northern part of the U.S. The state's respective flag is blue in color (field) and features the state seal in the middle. Officially adopted back in '57, the flag has been hoisted on flag poles for some 50 plus years!

The State Flag of MinnesotaEven though the flag was adopted during the 50's, a correction or modification was made to the state seal during the 80-s. Interestingly; the very first state flag of MN was flown in 1893. This flag was white one 1 side and blue (lighter shade) on the other. The state seal was displayed in the middle along with so called "moccasin flowers." This flag was "overhauled" in the year the new flag was officially introduced and adopted.

MN is the twentieth largest state in and of the United States and counts five plus million residents. Officially admitted to the Union back in 1858, this state is commonly referred to as the "Land of Ten Thousand Lakes." Those that have visited Minnesota or flown into Minneapolis-St. Paul's airport can confirm the latter. Having flown into the airport a number of times, the state's landscape is a wonderful thing to behold.
